a hand forged steel drop spinning spindle (DSS) with a 60mm diameter beech wood whorl
based on the find from the anglo-saxon bed burial at swallowcliffe down,
nominally 8" 200mm long and 8mm diameter
push fit fully functional (if not a bit different) spinning spindle.
please note that this doesn't have a nock (in keeping with period finds)
with the thread being looped off at the top of the shaft (see photo)
