rare 18th century puddled wrought iron plate 5x5"

a nominally 5x5" (13x13cm) puddled wrought iron plate 3mm thick for 18th century living history use, this piece is from a plate supplied to us by Chris Topp and Co ironworks (some years ago) and is made by decarburising pig iron in a reverberatory furnace, the process was in use from the 1780's and is a rare piece of this method of manufacturing, excellent for living history demonstrations on material availability in the late 18th century, there is limited availability on this item, supplied plate may differ from the one shown. reworked by Daegrad Tools

please note that we only have 6 of these available
