a hand made high carbon steel hardened and tempered small jewellers anvil based on the Museum of London find; MoL 20304, Roman period unstratified found in Queen victoria street, nominally 30mm tall with fixing strip and two hand forged nails for fixing to a piece of wood, due to its small size it is presumed to have a jewellery or small metalworking context (needle making etc). made in sheffield england by daegrad tools, anvil head is flat and nominally 15mm acros faces
