a hand forged steel  generic style roman steelyard (12" 300mm long) with a reconstruction of the scale pan in the Palazzo Massimo Museum in Italy, the scale pan can be removed as it is hooked onto the steelyard so both items can be used separately or together, maximum weight of 2kg
