based on the find from grave 10651:1 in Gotland Sweden (viking period), 45mm diameter bowed dish with brazed insert
in imitation of the cast bronze example on which it is based, decorated as the original with a ring and dot motif
comes with a 10" 250mm long tapered drop spinning spindle in beech wood with nock
designed for living history reenactment use, the weight of the whorl can be increased with the addition of putty or
modelling clay (not supplied) to the underside of the whorl
